The Episcopal Church Welcomes You

The Episcopal Church puts emphasis on orderliness, reverence, and beauty in worship. Ceremony is a traditional part of our worship experience—BUT CEREMONY IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS PEOPLE. It is our privilege to help you become familiar with our worship customs and understand their meaning if you choose to participate in them. Most significantly, we want you to feel at home with us, because we’d like our parish to be your home. The Episcopal Church really does welcome you!

Cultural Center

Much of the majesty of Grace Cathedral lies in its rich tradition of liturgy, music, worship, spiritual education, outreach, and cultural offerings. The Episcopal Church, as a denomination, has been a presence in Topeka since 1857. Following the tradition of many great cathedrals, Grace Cathedral is proud to serve not only as a house of worship, but also as a cultural center for our community. We’re pleased to welcome many community groups and events such as Silents in the Cathedral, “Great Spaces” Music & Art series, and more!

Cloister Gallery

Besides special events, ongoing presentations by local artists can be seen in our Cloister Gallery. Displays range from water colors and pastels to weavings and photography; a different artist is featured each month. Cloister Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays, 8 a.m. to noon.

Patriotic/Holiday Celebrations

Our patriotic and holiday celebrations such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Fourth of July services are well known in this community and beyond. And, of course, each Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate God’s love with prayer, music and inspirational preaching.

Welcome!

The parish of Grace Cathedral extends a most sincere welcome to this beautiful church, a house of prayer for all people. Please join us for one of our worship services, and if you have any questions or would like more information about joining our community of faith, please contact the Cathedral office at 235-3457.
